Leave it up to Vince McMahon to find a way to always make sure things fall in his favor.
Even when he was staring down the masked champion of Mr. America and some 24″ patriots screaming like a bomb through the sky, Mr. McMahon used his diabolical mind to manufacture a path to victory. He was so hell bent on exposing the man behind the mask brother that McMahon was willing to do whatever it took to win.
Coming from him, that usually meant sneaky chairs over the head or sending someone else to do the dirty work, but this time was a little different. McMahon was going to use brute force and bully his way right through young upstart Zach Gowen, and he was going to humiliate him in the process.
McMahon knew all he had to do was test the 20-year-olds strength to prove he had no business being in the ring in the first place, but the commissioner obviously forgot a crucial fact of the matter. Long before this challenge that would literally make or break his career, Zach Gowen had been making some big friends.
Huge friends in fact. It was Gowen who rushed to the aid of Mr. America during a ruthless beatdown at the hands of Rowdy Roddy and Sean O’Haire, and it was time for the favor to be returned. As McMahon stepped up to ruin Gowen in an arm wrestling match, Mr. America appeared to defend the honor of the young wrestler.
