2.) Shawn Michaels: What can I say? Scientific, Knows/knew how to work a crowd and didn’t let anything stand in his way of going after what he loved and has a passion for. The sarcasm, music & dance was gravy.
3.) The one and Only Stone Cold. No explanation needed, but I feel like writing. He’s bad ass. Only two other ppl I think he’d be hard-pressed to beat, sober. He says what he thinks & tells it like it is. No doubt he could still clean house.
4.) Macho. God, I miss that guy. Wound tighter than an 8-day clock, he always raised the bar and colored outside the lines…Nobody sparkles like you did, Randy. Oh Yeeaaahh.
5.) Speaking of making my own rules, think we need to add a head to Rushmore: Piper…because Nobody and Nothing scared him, and he did it His way. He could beat ass with street smarts, and his banter had me in Tears. Miss you, my friend. Also in this spot…has to be Flair. The name says it all. Much respect.

1 Hulk Hogan: this goes without saying. Hulk Hogan is without a doubt the most important, easily recognizable and most influential personality in pro wrestling history. Hulkamania made pro wrestling Main Stream, he embodied the term Superstar and galvanized a fan base setting the stage for decades of other people to try to follow in his footsteps.
2 Ric Flair: The Nature Boy is a very close second to Hulk Hogan. Hulk Hogan was able to catapult to fame thanks in part to the birth and spread of cable television. Ric earned his fame the hard way. Ric represents the age of Wrestling just before the advent of Pay Per views. Ric toured minor circuits as the NWA Champion and gave legitimacy to smaller regional promotions which was the culture of wrestling before the dawn of cable tv and pay per view.
3 Vince McMahon: Superstars come and go, promotions and associations do as well but to the victor goes the spoils. Vince’s vision gave us modern pro wrestling. Wrestlemania may not have been the first official “pay per view” nationally televised event but it is the one that set the standard for competitors to follow. NWA/WCW had Starcade but were limited in exposure. Wrestlemania, particularly 2 and 3 represented the advent of Pro Wrestling reaching the level of pop culture stardom. Celebrities of all walks of fame got involved and over the course of more than thirty years Wrestlemania is an annual jamboree that celebrates the marriage of pro wrestling and pop culture.
4 Eric Bischoff: this is a contemptuous placing for sure but it would not be right to acknowledge Vince’s role without giving credit where it is deserved to the one man who nearly dethroned him. For all the negative things that can be said about WCW under his leadership it is also irrefutable to point out that his presence in WCW was nearly as critical to the enduring success of the WWE . The Monday Night Wars is largely considered to be the greatest era of professional wrestling ever, one that likely will never be seen again. Competition makes for a great product and much of what the WCW presented to its audience during those years made great entertainment. The MNW era magnified the superstardom of pro wrestlers and pro wrestling exponentially. Wrestling was and never will be as accepted and popular as it was in the mid 90’s.
